Swaptree - Update

I wanted to share my experience with Swaptree.com (now Swap.com.) I've listed 6 books and in the span of my first week I was accepted for 3 trades. I received my first book this weekend and it's exactly as described. Swap.com has indicated that they plan to offer more items for swap in the near future. Can't wait to see how it all works!

Big Crumbs - High Payout Cashback Service

While checking out some of my favorite sites, I found a new cash back service that offers cashback at higher rates than most of the other programs I've checked out. Plus they pay out monthly! New P&G Savings Book after Rebate - Coupons worth $110

P&G has a new savings book that contains $110 worth of coupons. All you have to do is spend $50 on P&G products (before tax), circle the items on your receipt and send in your rebate. I just found this great deal on Groupon. You can get movie tickets up to $12 for $4 on Fandango.com via Groupon. What a great way to see a movie on the cheap! Offer valid on one movie ticket only. Lowe's Build and Grow Program: School Bus Project 8/28/10

I take my son to the Lowe's Build and Grow Program every weekend they offer a project.  It's a great FREE program that allows kids aged 6 and up (although I've seen much younger kids there...) to build a wood project.  Past projects include a planter with free flowers for Mother's Day, Schoolhouse shaped gift card box for Teacher Appreciation Day, A Spaceship, Race Car, Monster Truck and many others.  First timers get a free apron and goggles.  After each project is finished the child receives a patch for the project and along with their newly built toy.  All of this is completely FREE!  Just show up and build.  I highly recommend the program and we usually spend 15 minutes to 30 minutes on each project depending upon level of difficulty.

Ebates: Get Cash Back for your Online Purchases

I really miss the Bing Cashback program.  I saved a lot of money and loved that they paid you 60 days from purchase date.  Now that the Bing program has ended I'm back to using Ebates.  Ebates is a great program that gives you cashback on your online purchases.  You can be paid via check or PayPal and they pay you once you earn $5.00 in Cashback.  They have double cashback on many online stores right now for Back to School.  If you haven't already joined I highly recommend you check them out.   Ebates

I recently joined Plum District, one of the many daily deals sites and haven't seen much since the Target Gift Card offering.  Today's Deal is $15 for $30 in merchandise on Kitsel.  I have never heard of Kitsel so I checked them out.  I find their offerings pricey, but the shirts are so cute.  Their site has clothing and merchandise for babies and children up to size 6T.

AAA Prescription Plan - Can cover pets too!

I just learned that AAA now offers discounts on prescriptions. The ad I heard mentioned they also covered prescriptions for animals that are on human medicine. As the mommy of an adorable Silky Terrier, who also happens to be blind and diabetic, this was of utmost interest to me. All you need to do is go to  AAA.com/prescriptions. You will then be taken to a page where you enter part of your AAA number into a card that can be presented to your local participating pharmacy. I'm going to be sure to use this the next time I purchase my dog's insulin and needles for her diabetes. Swaptree Review

I'm an avid reader and when I don't go to the library, I get my books at the local used book store where I can buy them cheap.  The problem I often encounter is finding a home for the books I've just finished reading.  Enter, Swaptree!   Swaptree allows you to trade your books, DVD's, CD's , Video Games and Audio Books with others on the site.  Once you list some items for trade, you will get a list of possible items you can swap for.  Swaptree offers a 1 to 1 trade and you are not tied to trading a book for a book.  You can trade a book for a DVD, or a Video Game for an Audio Book, basically whatever is available to you for trade is up for grabs!  All you do is pay shipping.  I've started listing a few books and hope to make some trades soon.  Check it out at:  Swaptree.com.
